Remake is the pivotal term for this video project—both the new attempt after failure and the repetition of existing narrative canons.
This project again contains a variety of references to recent cinematic history: fantasy & horror, comedy & drama. But also various moments of documentation of sporting events and dance are approached. The successive clips interrelate with as much as they summon each other. Narrative threads open up, weave together, connect to one another, and lead on and on.
Two other central motifs of the project are Trigger Warning and Spoiler Alert—two phenomena that are negotiated on the textual level of the video between individual sequence segments. They frame the many small breakdowns and rebirths. Coming of age loophole.
